Family Engagement

Stronger students. Stronger families. Stronger communities.

About the program

Family involvement is the foundation of student success.

At Building Young Leaders, we believe that lasting student growth happens when entire families grow together. Our Family Engagement program is built on the idea that parents, guardians, siblings, and caregivers are the most important partners in a child's education, and that schools and communities thrive when those relationships are nurtured.

Through hands-on workshops, community events, and practical resources, we create spaces where families can learn alongside their students. Topics range from parent-teacher communication and academic support strategies to bullying awareness, attendance, emotional intelligence, and navigating school systems and social services.

Sessions are offered virtually, hybrid, or in person and are designed in close partnership with school leaders and community-based organizations to meet the specific needs of every community we serve.
