What we do
Our Programs
BYL runs leadership, enrichment, financial literacy, and family engagement programs across NYC, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Every offering is built to help students grow as individuals, lead with confidence, and thrive in their communities.
01 / Summer Camp
Leaders Beyond Borders
Leaders Beyond Borders is BYL's flagship summer day camp, designed to take students out of the classroom and into a leadership lab. In 2025 the program expanded to the Dominican Republic, and in 2025 and 2026 BYL is bringing the camp to Puerto Rico. Campers experience hands-on enrichment, cross-cultural exchange, and mentorship from BYL educators who treat every student as a young leader in the making.

The Comfort Bear program builds empathy, craftsmanship, and project-management skills through service learning, leaving students with a portfolio of work and the experience of having directly comforted a peer they may never meet.
